Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice – save money and a trip to the store by making your own DIY custom blend so you can make plenty of pies and beyond all season long!
With so many recipes calling for Apple Pie Spice and Pumpkin Pie Spice, making my own custom blends at home means I can save myself some money and an extra trip to the store.
I usually have all of these spices in my pantry anyway and I figure most of you do too.
Plus, by making your own spice blends, you can tweak the amounts and customize them to meet your taste.
Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice
All it takes is some cinnamon, ginger, all spice, cloves, mace and nutmeg.
If you love the strong punch of cloves and ginger — just bump up the amount and add a little more in. Don’t have mace? No problem, just leave it out.
It works great in any dessert that you want to add a little bit of warmth or a piece of autumn to. Muffins, oatmeal, smoothies, cookies — and so much more!
So the next time a recipe calls for Pumpkin Pie Spice, you can make your own big batch to last you all season or just enough to whip up your own Pumpkin Spice Latte 🙂
