I baked these Strawberry and Lemon Donuts a few weeks ago when I saw a bunch of fresh strawberries at the market.
These donuts are a burst of spring in your mouth with fresh chopped strawberries and a touch of lemon zest and lemon juice added to the batter.
Lemon and strawberries are one of my favorite combinations since they go so well together and always remind me of bright and warm summer days.
Top these donuts off with a naturally pink frosting made with more fresh strawberries and you have a delectable treat that you can enjoy for breakfast, an afternoon snack or dessert.
And of course, toss on some pretty sprinkles to brighten up any drabby day:)
